Sometimes I get ahead of myself. I start dreaming about the next chapter before I’ve even finished the one I’m in. That’s what happened with my blog title. I changed it because I thought I was ready to step into something bigger, something more defined… but the truth is, I’m not there yet. And that’s okay.
After sitting with it for a bit, I realized the name I had before — Small Homestead by the River — still fits where I am right now. It reflects the quiet, simple place I’m writing from. It feels like me. It feels like this season of my life, where I’m sorting things out, planning carefully, and trying not to rush into decisions before I’ve really thought them through.
I’m learning to slow down. To let ideas settle. To make choices that match my real life, not just my excitement. Changing the blog name back isn’t a step backward — it’s me choosing something steady instead of something premature.
So the blog is once again Small Homestead by the River, and I’m giving myself the space to think things through before I leap. Thank you for being here with me while I figure out what comes next.
