The past couple months have been full of obstacles as I’ve tried to find a new place to live. Every time I thought I was getting close, something fell through. After praying about it, I’m beginning to feel peaceful about staying right here a while longer. I’ll keep repairing this old place, improving it bit by bit, and when Jehovah decides the time is right for me to move, He will make the way clear. I’m not forcing anything anymore—I’m placing it in His hands.
A bright spot in all this is that The Stage (public transport) is running out here again. With gas over $5 a gallon, I have to be careful about every trip I make. But The Stage is only $1 per fare right now, and that’s a blessing I can’t ignore. It gives me breathing room and opens up options I didn’t have before.
So my tentative plan is to use The Stage for field service, and when I have the gas, attend meetings in person. It’s not perfect, but it’s workable—and it feels like the right direction for now.
In the meantime, I’m going to develop a small garden. Nothing huge, just enough to give me fresh food and a sense of progress while I’m here. A little patch of life growing while I wait on Jehovah’s timing.
